How to Configure Beats Audio in Windows 8

Opening the Beats Audio control panel

To open the Beats Audio control panel from the Windows 8 Start screen, type beats to open the Search charm. Click Beats Audio Control Panel in the search results.

If you don't see Beats in the search results, click Settings on the right side of the screen and check the search results again.

The Beats Audio control panel opens. Use the features to customize your volume, listening, and recording experiences, and access the advanced audio settings.

From Beats Audio Control Panel, you can:
Configure Volume
Configure the Listening Experience
Configure the Recording Experience

Changing the Advanced Settings

Use the features on the Advanced Settings screen to access Windows sound properties, swap the center speaker and subwoofer output, restore all settings to their default value, and enable multi-streaming.
NOTE:
Your Beats Audio Console may not have all of these options, depending on your model number.

• Windows Sound Properties - To access the Windows Sound Properties, click the Launch button.
• Center / LFE Speaker - This feature is useful when using 5.1 speaker systems with center/LFE stereo jacks that do not match the configuration of the center/LFE output jack. Select Swap Center/Sub Output to use this function.
• Default Settings - Click Reset to restore all settings to their default values.
• Multi-Streaming - Click to Enable or Disable. With multi-streaming enabled, you can listen to two different audio sources on two different speaker sets. For example, you can listen to one audio source through the back panel speakers and a second audio source through front panel headphones or speakers.
